It all started with three men and an old mule.

Our story began in 1892, when three construction workers—and an old mule—joined forces to take on a variety of building projects in and around Fort Wayne, Indiana. From that humble endeavor, MKS has grown into a leading regional construction firm. Spearheaded by an integrated team of professionals experienced in every aspect of construction, our long list of satisfied customers continues to grow.

MKS has been family owned and operated since 1892. The fourth-generation proprietors are brothers Doug and Bill Kinder, both graduates of Purdue University with degrees in Engineering and Construction. The Kinder family is intimately involved and committed to every project from beginning to end.

The MKS home office is located in Fort Wayne, IN. Although the majority of our projects have been within the Midwest, we have traveled as far as Argentina to support our customer's building needs. We have been turning visions into reality for well over a century.
