As part of Project Gateway, Fort Wayne International Airport brought on MKS as the CMc for its West Terminal's $52 million rehabilitation project, consisting of renovations and new construction. 45,000 sq ft of new space plus 47,000 sq ft of renovations totaled 159,000 sq ft.

The updates to the new terminal included baggage handling and a fully in-line Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS), front entries, new curb front drive canopies, and two additional passenger gates.

New men's and women's facilities were added, as well as new glass passenger boarding jet bridges, a new family restroom, two mother's rooms, a multi-sensory room, a cane trail, a service pet area, and a new children's play area.
